Draper Temple

So we went to the Draper Temple open house last night and had a great time. It was so neat to be able to take our three children along with us and to have them be a part of this special experience. Emma is 8 and was very excited to be able to go inside the temple. It was so fun to discuss things with her and to have her ask questions and be able to see the lightbulb turn on inside. On the drive down to the temple we sang LOTS of primary songs that the kids all knew. They are so dang cute!! Every once in a while Hannah would break out in the ABC's song but even so she was able to sing quite a few of the songs with us and she is just in the nursery. When we were touring the temple it was so special to have our children with us in the Celestial room and to talk about this being a piece of heaven on Earth. All of our children loved this room the most! The chandelier was BEAUTIFUL and breathtaking!!! We also took a friend Juan and his wife and son along. They are not members but were really interested in going with us. They speak mostly Spanish so we were able to watch the DVD in Spanish and English prior to entering the temple. I felt the spirit as strong with the Spanish version as I did with the English version. It is amazing how the spirit speaks to us. I am so grateful for this opportunity and was very touched spiritually to have been a part of this experience. I hope my children remember this experience the rest of their lives! I also hope Juan and his family felt something special about this experience and that it touched them in a special way. We hope you all have a chance to go if you can, it is very beautiful!

Happy New Years 2009!

Hey Everyone-
We hope you have a terrific New Years Day! We went to Jared's brother and sis-in-law's house to celebrate by playing games, gorging on tons of great food, playing the Wii, and enjoying visiting with friends and family. I had to go to work at midnight which wasn't so fun, but overral the night was one to remember! Thanks Todd and Angie for your hospitality, you made it a very enjoyable evening for all. We hope the year 2009 brings all of you much happiness, good health and memories to cherish forever. We love all of you. Happy New Year!

Christmas Day

This year we went to the Sannar's for Christmas breakfast. The kids had a fun time playing with their presents they got from Santa. We had a very enjoyable day and made it through the fesivities without any major meltdowns. Emma got a bead kit for making jewlery that she wanted, Ethan got a Nintendo DS and Hannah got a barbie bike. We hope the holiday season has been good to all of you and you have all enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.
